Ok, back in English.

Allways can get some amusing lines in classical Hollywood films. This one is from Joseph Mankiewicz's A Letter To Three Wives (1949).

New year's eve. Two sisters were quarrelling with each other in the kitchen when mom and auntie came in.

Mom: Can I have a slight peace in this house for New year's eve?

Auntie: ...I guess the peace is for Christmas eve...New year's eve means people will go back to kill each other!
